We started picking up Pappy a little over 10 years ago, back when it was still on the bottom/middle shelf at many stores in Kentucky. We bought our first bottle of Van Winkle 10 yr for $32.46!
It’s not been an easy year for the collectible wine and spirits market (or for many other markets for that matter!), though Bourbon still seems to be the exception to the norm. And when you think of collectible Bourbon, no doubt that Pappy Van Winkle comes to mind. We thought it would be fun to look at how our purchase prices have changed over the past decade.
