Here at Epic Cellars, our work-hard-play-hard vibe meshes well with a cocktail thatfeels luxurious but is really easy to make.
As much as we love champagne brunches and old fashioneds, spring means it’s time to get the blender out!
How to Make the Perfect Avocado Marg
We start with Clase Azul Reposado, a smooth tequila aged in whiskey casks. It’s a
medium to full bodied choice, which holds up to the creaminess of the avocado in this drink. Clase Azul has notes of orange peel and bitter chocolate, which can be brought out with spicy garnishes like jalapeño slices or a Tajín rim.

Avocados have huge health benefits, so you can feel good about all the potassium,
vitamins and heart healthy fats in this smart drink.
1 avocado, peeled and pitted
4 ounces tequila
2 ounces Cointreau
(can substitute Midori)
Blend with 2 cups ice.
Garnish with:
Cilantro
Fresh jalapeño
Orange slice
Lime slice
Tajín rim
Edible flowers
Mix It Up, Blend It Well and Make It Pretty
Once everything’s in the blender, be sure to blend thoroughly until all of the ice is
crushed and mixture is frothy. We prefer handblown vintage margarita glasses, but feel free to use any glasses—stemless wine glasses make a nice choice.
Any of the garnishes above will liven up your margarita and complement the flavors. A sprinkle of bittersweet chocolate shavings is another decadent choice.
We hope you’ll try this tasty and unusual version of a beloved cocktail standard.
Cheers!
